What is Quest?
Mobile-first, web-only, played outdoors on foot with a phone in one hand and a pint in the other.
Quest is a timed scavenger hunt played by groups across a route of partner pubs and city checkpoints. A lead booker pays for a party, picks a start time, and on game-day the team logs into the web app, races a server-anchored timer, solves a puzzle at each stop, and scans the pub's QR to unlock the next clue. The earliest slice we're testing is the one that proves people will pay to play: book → play → finish.
Rules of Engagement
- Book the slot. Lead booker creates an account, captures the party, pays via Stripe.
- Receive the brief. Confirmation email and a one-hour-before reminder.
- Arrive at the start pub. Party members claim a guest token; the lead booker presses start.
- Race the clock. Server-anchored timer, sequential clues, answer or skip with a penalty.
- Scan to advance. Each pub holds a rotatable QR token, re-rollable if it leaks.
- Cross the line. Completion writes a final time and a per-checkpoint breakdown.
